Je to podruhé, co byla ve válce použita mezikontinentální balistická raketa (ICBM) nebo balistická raketa středního doletu (IRBM).

Po ruském úderu balistickou raketou Orešnik místní média informují, že ve Lvovské oblasti „téměř není plyn“.

Dřívější zprávy naznačovaly, že raketa Orešnik zasáhla strategické podzemní skladovací zařízení plynu ve městě Stryi v Lvovské oblasti.

Zařízení se nachází 66 km od Lvova a 75 km od polských hranic.
